Yes. Many homes across Tuart Hill, Yokine and Balga have concrete or clay tile roofs, and these are very common for us in Stirling. We use tile-specific mounting brackets and proper flashing to seal penetrations and spread the load, minimising the risk of cracked tiles. During assessment we check the roof’s condition and battens, and if any tiles are already brittle or damaged we’ll flag that before work begins.
They can, particularly in the older, tree-lined streets common through parts of Stirling and neighbouring Dianella. Mature jacarandas and gums cast shifting shade across roofs in the afternoon. We assess shade lines during the site visit and often recommend microinverters or optimisers, which let each panel perform independently so shade on one section doesn’t reduce the output of the whole array.
